Jo Weston is the village schoolteacher in Aidensfield. Nick asked her to marry him in the Season 6 finale "Charity begins at home".
Jo's parents (played by Bernard Gallagher and Wanda Ventham) are very starchy, upper-middle-class people, who seem to think Nick is a phase Jo is going through.
Jo is devoted to Nick's daughter Katie.
